Baccarat Practices and Plan
Punto Banco Regulations
Punto banco is played with 8 decks in a shoe. Cards under 10 are counted at their printed value and with 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is 1. Wagers are made on the 'bank', the 'player', or on a tie (these are not really people; they simply represent the 2 hands to be dealt).
Two hands of two cards are then dealt to the 'bank' and 'gambler'. The score for every hand is the sum total of the cards, although the first digit is dumped. For example, a hand of five and 6 has a total of one (five plus six equals 11; ignore the 1st '1').
A third card could be given depending on the rules below:
- If the player or banker achieves a total of eight or nine, the two players stay.
- If the gambler has five or lower, she takes a card. Players otherwise stay.
- If the gambler holds, the house takes a card on five or less. If the player takes a card, a chart is used to determine if the bank stands or hits.
Punto Banco Odds
The bigger of the 2 hands wins. Winning wagers on the house pay out 19 to 20 (equal money minus a 5 percent commission. The Rake is tracked and paid off when you depart the table so make sure you have money left over just before you depart). Winning bets on the player pays one to one. Winning bets for tie normally pay 8 to 1 but on occasion 9:1. (This is a awful bet as ties occur less than one in every ten hands. Be wary of wagering on a tie. Although odds are substantially greater for 9 to 1 vs. 8 to 1)
Played correctly baccarat gives relatively decent odds, apart from the tie wager of course.
Punto Banco Method
As with all games Baccarat has some familiar misunderstandings. One of which is close to a misconception in roulette. The past isn't a harbinger of events yet to happen. Tracking past results on a page of paper is a waste of paper and an affront to the tree that was cut down for our paper needs.
The most established and likely the most accomplished plan is the 1-3-2-6 method. This technique is deployed to build up winnings and limit risk.
Begin by placing one dollar. If you succeed, add 1 more to the 2 on the game table for a total of 3 dollars on the second bet. Should you win you will retain six on the table, pull off four so you keep two on the 3rd bet. Should you come away with a win on the third wager, deposit two to the four on the game table for a total of six on the fourth bet.
Should you lose on the first wager, you take a hit of 1. A profit on the 1st round followed by a hit on the 2nd causes a hit of two. Success on the initial two with a loss on the third gives you with a profit of 2. And wins on the 1st three with a loss on the 4th means you break even. Succeeding at all four bets gives you with 12, a take of 10. This means you will be able to lose the 2nd wager 5 times for each successful streak of 4 wagers and in the end, balance the books.
