Rules of Baccarat
Baccarat Regulations
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards which are valued less than ten are said to be at their printed value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the 'banker,' the 'player' or for a tie (these aren't actual individuals; they simply symbolize the 2 hands to be played).
2 hands of 2 cards shall then be given to the 'banker' as well as 'player'. The value for each hand shall be the sum of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For e.g., a hand of 7 as well as five gives a total of two (7plus5=12; drop the '1').
A 3rd card could be played depending on the foll. codes:
- If the player or banker has a tally of 8 or 9, both bettors stand.
- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the player hits, a chart might be used in order to judge if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The bigger of the two scores wins. Winning wagers on the banker pay out nineteen to 20 (even odds less a 5 percent commission. Commission is tracked and moved out when you leave the table so ensure you have dollars remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winning bets for tie as a rule pays 8 to one and sometimes nine to one. (This is not a good bet as ties will occur lower than one every 10 hands. Definitely don't try putting money on a tie. Regardless odds are substantially better - 9 to 1 vs. 8 to one)
When done smartly, baccarat presents fairly good odds, apart from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Tactics
As with all games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. One of which is quite similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way a predictor of future results. Tracking of last results on a chart is definitely a complete waste of paper ... a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most established and almost certainly most successful strategy is the one-three-2-6 method. This method is employed to boost earnings and minimizing risk.
Begin by betting one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away 4 so you have two on the 3rd gamble. If you win the third bet, add two to the 4 on the table for a total of 6 on the 4th bet.
If you don't win on the first wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. In other words you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
