Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued under ten are give a value of their printed value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the 'banker,' the 'player' or for a tie (these aren't actual individuals; they merely appear as the two hands to be played).

Two hands of two cards will then be played to the 'banker' and 'player'. The value for any hand shall be the total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is removed. For example, a hand of 7 ... 5 gives a tally of 2 (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the 'one').

A 3rd card can be given out depending on the foll. protocols:

- If the player or banker has a tally of 8 or nine, then both bettors stand.

- If the player has five or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the bettor hits, a chart will be used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the two scores wins. Successful bets on the banker pay out nineteen to twenty (even money less a five percent commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure you have cash remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Baccarat Strategy

As with all games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. 1 of which is similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future actions.
