Baccarat Chemin de Fer Regulations and Strategy
Baccarat Chemin de Fer Standards
Baccarat chemin de fer is bet on with 8 decks in a shoe. Cards below ten are worth face value while at the same time Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is 1. Wagers are placed on the 'bank', the 'player', or for a tie (these aren't actual people; they simply represent the two hands to be dealt).
Two cards are given to both the 'bank' and 'player'. The score for each hand is the total of the cards, however the beginning number is dumped. e.g., a hand of five and 6 has a value of one (five plus six = 11; ditch the initial 'one').
A third card could be given based on the rules below:
- If the gambler or banker achieves a total of 8 or nine, both players stand.
- If the gambler has less than five, he takes a card. Players stands otherwise.
- If the gambler stands, the bank hits on 5 or lower. If the gambler takes a card, a chart is used to determine if the house holds or hits.
Baccarat Banque Odds
The higher of the 2 totals wins. Winning bets on the banker payout 19 to 20 (equal cash minus a 5% commission. The Rake is tracked and cleared out when you quit the game so make sure you have money around just before you depart). Winning bets on the gambler pays 1:1. Winning wagers for a tie normally pays out at eight to one but on occasion 9:1. (This is a poor wager as a tie occurs less than 1 in every ten rounds. Avoid wagering on a tie. However odds are substantially better for nine to one vs. eight to one)
Played correctly baccarat banque gives fairly decent odds, aside from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Strategy
As with all games baccarat chemin de fer has a handful of accepted misconceptions. One of which is similar to a misconception in roulette. The past is not a prophecy of future events. Recording past outcomes at a table is a waste of paper and an affront to the tree that gave its life for our stationary desires.
The most established and probably the most favorable method is the one, three, two, six tactic. This plan is used to maximize profits and limit losses.
Begin by placing one chip. If you win, add another to the 2 on the table for a sum total of 3 chips on the second bet. Should you win you will now have six on the game table, subtract 4 so you keep 2 on the 3rd round. If you succeed on the 3rd bet, put down two on the four on the game table for a total of six on the fourth wager.
Should you do not win on the 1st wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the initial bet followed by a loss on the second creates a hit of 2. Success on the 1st two with a defeat on the 3rd gives you with a profit of two. And wins on the initial 3 with a defeat on the 4th means you break even. Winning at all 4 rounds leaves you with twelve, a gain of 10. This means you are able to not win on the second wager five times for each favorable streak of 4 bets and still balance the books.
