Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards than are of a value less than 10 are counted at their printed value and on the other hand 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed on the 'banker,' the 'player' or for a tie (these aren't actual players; they purely symbolize the two hands to be dealt).

Two hands of two cards will now be given to the 'banker' ... 'player'. The value for any hand is the sum total of the two cards, but the initial digit is dumped. For eg, a hand of seven and 5 has a total score of 2 (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the 'one').

A third card may be dealt depending on the following protocols:

- If the gambler or banker has a total score of 8 or 9, both players stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or less, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the gambler hits, a chart is used to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores is the winner. Winning wagers on the banker payout 19 to twenty (even odds less a 5 percent commission. Commission is tracked and paid out when you leave the table so ensure that you have funds left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie commonly pay out eight to 1 and on occasion nine to one. (This is a terrible wager as ties occur lower than 1 every ten hands. Definitely don't try wagering on a tie. Even so odds are vastly better - nine to 1 vs. eight to 1)

When done correctly, baccarat offers fairly good odds, apart from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with many games, Baccarat has some common myths. One of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an indicator of future events. Keeping track of last conclusions on a chart is for sure a waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most established and probably most successful technique is the one-3-two-6 technique. This tactic is used to build up payout and cutting back risk.

start by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract four so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum total of six on the fourth gamble.
