Baccarat Rules
Baccarat Standards
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards which are valued under 10 are counted at their printed number and on the other hand ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the 'banker,' the 'player' or for a tie (these aren't actual players; they only represent the two hands to be dealt).
Two hands of two cards will now be dealt to the 'banker' as well as 'player'. The total for any hand shall be the sum of the 2 cards, but the first digit is discarded. For example, a hand of seven as well as 5 results in a tally of 2 (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the '1').
A 3rd card might be dealt depending on the foll. protocols:
- If the gambler or banker has a total of eight or 9, both gamblers stand.
- If the player has five or less, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart might be used in order to judge if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The larger of the two scores wins. Victorious wagers on the banker pay 19 to twenty (even odds less a 5 percent commission. Commission is kept track of and paid out when you leave the table so make sure you have $$$$$ still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie typically pays eight to 1 and occasionally 9 to 1. (This is an awful bet as ties occur less than one every ten hands. Run away from laying money on a tie. Nevertheless odds are actually better - nine to 1 versus eight to one)
Played properly, baccarat provides generally good odds, aside from the tie bet obviously.
Baccarat Strategy
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. 1 of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an indicator of future actions. Tracking of past conclusions on a chart is for sure a complete waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most accepted and probably most successful method is the one-3-two-6 technique. This scheme is employed to accentuate payout and controlling risk.
start by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd bet. If you win the third bet, add two to the 4 on the table for a value of 6 on the 4th wager.
If you lose on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second causes a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Winning at all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Therefore you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
