Rules of Baccarat
Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards with less than a value of ten are give a value of their printed value and on the other hand ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the 'banker,' the 'player' or for a tie (these aren't actual individuals; they purely portray the two hands to be dealt).
2 hands of two cards shall then be played to the 'banker' and 'player'. The value for every hand is the sum of the two cards, but the first digit is discarded. For example, a hand of seven ... 5 results in a score of 2 (7plus5=12; drop the '1').
A 3rd card can be given depending on the foll. practices:
- If the player or banker has a value of eight or nine, then both bettors stand.
- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the player hits, a chart is used in order to figure if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the 2 scores wins. Winning wagers on the banker pay out nineteen to twenty (even money minus a 5% commission. Commission is monitored and moved out when you leave the table so make sure you have funds still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie customarily pay 8 to one and on occasion 9 to 1. (This is not a good bet as ties will occur lower than one every 10 hands. Avoid wagering on a tie. However odds are actually better - 9 to 1 vs. 8 to one)
When played accurately, baccarat offers relatively good odds, away from the tie bet ofcourse.
Baccarat Strategy
As with most games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. One of which is very similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way a predictor of future outcomes. Tracking of last outcomes on a chart is definitely a waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most accepted and feasibly most successful tactic is the 1-three-2-6 concept. This method is used to maximize successes and lowering risk.
start by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract four so you have 2 on the third bet. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum of six on the fourth wager.
If you lose on the 1st bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the second brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Winning at all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Therefore that you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
